Russell Cook & the Sweet Teeth use sharp-edged songwriting to open up an airtight groove of electrified Americana. Russell co-wrote and recorded six albums fronting the Americana group Little Country Giants and is currently exploring the addition of electrical amplification. 

What started as a 2-guitar and drums juke-joint style trio gradually morphed into an exploratory rock outfit.  Featuring the sparkling guitar work of Scotty Knight, ace drummer Jeremy Clark, the Sweet Teeth play mostly originals mixed with the occasional unique transformation of a traditional song. They try to push the music to see where it will go, using songs as the structure but staying open to improvisation and playing in the moment.   Russell Cook & the Sweet Teeth found the vein of Americana that veers from electrified country blues and opened it up to bombastic cosmic rock.
